MARYLA RODOWICZ: Pierwszy kontakt z piosenką Maryla Rodowicz miała w 1962 r., kiedy brała udział w eliminacjach do I Festiwalu Młodych Talentów w Szczecinie. Chociaż została zakwalifikowana do finału nie wystąpiła w nim jednak, ponieważ termin zbiegał się z Lekkoatletycznymi Mistrzostwami Polski Młodzików, w których zdobyła mistrzowski tytuł w sztafecie 4x100m. W czasie studiów na AWF w Warszawie od sierpnia 1965 r. Rodowicz występowała w składzie big-beatowego zespołu Szejtany, działającego w studenckim klubie "Relax". W 1965 r. wokalistka zdobyła z zespołem 1. miejsce na warszawskim przeglądzie zespołów big-beatowych w klubie "Finka". W 1966 r. związała się ze studenckim kabaretem "Gag", który działał pod przewodnictwem kompozytora Jerzego Andrzeja Marka i poety Adama Kreczmara. Pierwszym jej poważniejszym sukcesem był występ w 1967 r. na Przeglądzie Piosenki Studenckiej w Lublinie i Giełdzie Piosenki w Częstochowie z piosenką Jak cię miły zatrzymać (muz. Jerzy Andrzej Marek, sł. Adam Kreczmar, utwór z repertuaru Teresy Tutinas), gdzie zdobyła główną nagrodę. Występ na odbywającym się w Krakowie w dniach 24-26 listopada 1967 r. VI Studenckim Festiwalu Piosenki zaowocował zdobyciem 1. nagrody za piosenki Jak cię miły zatrzymać i Pytania (sł. Jonasz Kofta). Na początku 1968 r. Maryla Rodowicz (obok Skaldów, Niebiesko-Czarnych i Alibabek) wzięła udział w filmie TV "Kulig", reż. Stanisław Kokesz. Zaśpiewała w nim piosenki Jeszcze zima, Trzy, może nawet cztery dni i Walc na <b>...</b>

Twelve years ago, Afrikaners like Betsie Dreyer lived a privileged and cocooned life. Now, many are dependent on charity handouts. "We are fighting all the time to survive." The government is determined to see the workforce appropriately reflect the population. It gives black people priority in employment, sets 'black quotas' for businesses and favours companies owned by black people. But critics accuse the government of neglecting its responsibility to white citizens.
